Christians - Does true Christianity require brainwashing (serious question)?

Considering that the primary prerequisite is to repent and repent means to ';think differently'; then wouldn't it be true that if one is to become a true Christian then they have to allow God to ';wash'; their mind from all learned lies and replace those lies with his truth?Christians - Does true Christianity require brainwashing (serious question)?
I believe to repent can only possibly mean to ';turn'; to the Torah Law of our Creator, the God of Israel.

Deu 30:10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law [Torah], and if thou *turn* unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

We must repent to the ';Truth'; within the Hebrew Torah Law of the God of Israel, the only True and Living God:

Psa 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy Torah is the truth.

If ';Chrisitans'; are not careful our Creator will allow their minds to be brainwashed into believing a lie because they have no love for His Torah of Truth. Just as God hardened Pharoah's heart, those who constantly rebel against our Creator's voice of Truth will also have their own hearts hardened.

2 Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2 Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Psa 119:29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy Torah graciously.Christians - Does true Christianity require brainwashing (serious question)?
Repent can also mean to reconsider.

I now look at things differently. I reconsider how I should live my life. Is it mine to live as I please? Yes, it is a form of mind transformation, but we're all aware of the pejorative slant being used in the previous question (which I assume prompted this one).

The pejorative version requires that we never question, never have doubts and always behave a certain way. How odd that I have never seen two Christians exactly alike. We have different personalities, likes , dislikes, gifts and fears.

It is absolutely * essential * that atheists continue dismissing us with such terms, lest anyone start considering us the least bit credible.
Acceptance of a supernatural claim tends to promote cooperative social relationships. This communication demonstrates a willingness to accept, without skepticism, the influence of the speaker in a way similar to a child's acceptance of the influence of a parent. By encouraging this kind of behavior where the most intense social relationships occur it facilitates the lack of skepticism and deters more open minded thinking.

Repent: Verb Intransitive:

1: to turn from sin and dedicate oneself to the amendment of one's life

2 a: to feel regret or contrition b: to change one's mind

No brainwashing involved. It is a simple decision making process.
Why do you not try reading the Scriptures for yourself instead of taking a verse here and there as your 'proof'? Reading the Bible can change you for the better, if you allow it. Just as reading a book on evolution can change you for the worse.
No

But secularism certainly does

Watch bad TV, listen to bad radio programs, watch bad movies, listen to worldly people.....they tell you how to live, what to do, who to do, what to take......shall I go on?

I prefer to use my own mind and try to do what is right and moral.......even if I do fail sometimes.

Kp
No I have not been brainwashed at all. My mind is as clear as can be.
