Is yahoo answers now afraid of our avatars?
I just had my avatars removed from half a dozen of my yahoo answers accounts, do they stoop that low, that if if can not find any other reason to shut me up, they try to lower my recognition by removing my avatars, I am pretty honored though, I must be doing something right, getting to famous,

I have Windows XP sp 2. recently when I open mY Videos Folder in the My Documents folder and I select thumbnails my MPEGS show up but none of the inoformation appears (Like the name of the video etc. Just the video itself.I need a true computer geeks response to my Media question?

Can you be a true Christian if you question things a lot?
I know that I have a Christian faith, but it seems to me that I am an ';awkward'; or ';weird'; Christian because I'm open to seeing and considering the other side things. (Mind you, this does not mean I am being persuaded to believe non-Christian things). I an open to the idea that's it's very possible the bible has been tranlated totally wrong over time as well as many of the other arguments other religions question us on such as homosexuality, evolution, etc.. I just tend to have liberal beliefs rather then the usual conservative beliefs but I am not a Liberal Christian. Does this make me a bad Christian? It seems like in today's society in order to be a ';true Christian'; you need to be very conservative and you need to be bigoted towards so many topics, which I don't think is right.Can you be a true Christian if you question things a lot?

An open mind, but a discerning heart is what is needed by everyone that seeks to learn of God.
Remember the Bereans mentioned in the Bible? They search the scriptures to see if what they had been told was true...they ';proved'; it out...and they were commended.
But, once you discover the truth of a matter and have proven it to be so, never doubt it. Stand on it.

I found one which was very good, it listed them in alphbetical order . There are almost 2000 of them, if you check each one out you will find one to your choice.
If you spend a week researching each one, it will take about 4 years to get through the lot.
As you may have guessed, I am atheist, but I am interested in all religions. I think its a great idea to ask questions whatever your religion.

He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. When you die you will stand at the Judgment seat of Christ and receive a award for doing good and your bad deeds will be burned up.
Sound like you have been watching too many liberal TV News Programs and not studying your Bible. 2 Corinthians 5: 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
The idea of what is right and wrong has been argued for centuries. The Bible, however, spells out the things that right and wrong. Somethings WILL go against what modern society dictates. Do we, as Christians, follow what society demands or what GOD demands?

This verse is addressed to the saved. Christians will sin, but they will not like it and will fight it. Paul in Romans Chapter 7 expresses the conflict that the genuine Christian faces. He says, ';I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members (Romans 7:21-23).
The saved man knows he is a sinner and begs God for mercy. However, the religious unsaved man will enjoy his sin and will be greatly offended if it is suggested that he is a sinner. The religious lost are masters of justifying their sin.
It is very interesting that in many cases the world accepts a better standard of conduct for the Christian than many who profess to be the children of God. If you ask the average man on the street if Christians should drink, smoke, use profanity, be immoral, lie, cheat, gamble or steal they will respond with a resounding, NO! Yet, many who call themselves Christians think nothing of doing these things. It appears the lost world in some cases has a better understanding of what God meant when He said, ';Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's'; (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
Some have the philosophy that if the Bible does not make specific references to some questionable act then it can not be called a sin. The Bible does not specifically mention many individual sins, but condemns all immoral acts in principle. The Word of God does not say that smoking cocaine is sin, but would any sane person conclude that it is not sin? The Bible is a book of principles. We are to examine all things by biblical principles to determine if it is right or wrong. Does smoking crack harm the body? The answer is clearly, yes! Then if it harms the body it is wrong and sin. God says he lives in our bodies (indwells) and He commands that we live pure lives and keep our physical bodies pure.
There is also a further commandment of God that effects the actions of a Christian. The Bible says that the child of God should, ';Abstain from all appearance of evil.'; (1 Thessalonians 5:22) Just because the Bible does not specifically mention something does not mean it is not sin. If an act even appears to be sinful, then the child of God is commanded to avoid it. God's standard is one of purity. The genuine Christian can accept no other standard.
The religious lost are comfortable with sin. They claim salvation but reject the Savior's claims on their lives! They profess to believe the Word of God but refuse to live by it. Jesus speaking to the religious but lost Jews responded to them by asking them, ';But why do you call Me ';Lord, Lord,'; and do not do the things which I say?'; (Luke 6:46)
Every man should examine himself in light of God's Word. If a man is truly saved, Christ will be evident in his life. If he is lost, sin will be the pattern of his lives. The unsaved man is a rebel. He defies God's claims on his life. The born again Christian humbly submits himself to Christ. There is a drastic difference between the two. The true Christian is at peace with God, whereas the lost man is in rebellion. The saved, blood washed, sinner will always stand out in stark contrast to the world. God's children thank Him for saving them FROM sin!

You can be a Christian if you question things a lot, as we are told to do just that in the bible. I have to ask though if you believe the bible has been translated wrong, what parts do you believe are right and what parts wrong? What gives you the power to discern which is has been translated correctly? The bible has to be completely correct or we have not the word of God. You must believe all of it or none of it. Just because something in life goes against your feelings doesn't make doesn't make God a liar. His word is truth and if you disagree with what it says you are the one that is wrong.

The saved man knows he is a sinner and begs God for mercy. However, the religious unsaved man will enjoy his sin and will be greatly offended if it is suggested that he is a sinner. The religious lost are masters of justifying their sin.
It is very interesting that in many cases the world accepts a better standard of conduct for the Christian than many who profess to be the children of God. If you ask the average man on the street if Christians should drink, smoke, use profanity, be immoral, lie, cheat, gamble or steal they will respond with a resounding, NO! Yet, many who call themselves Christians think nothing of doing these things. It appears the lost world in some cases has a better understanding of what God meant when He said, ';Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's'; (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
Some have the philosophy that if the Bible does not make specific references to some questionable act then it can not be called a sin. The Bible does not specifically mention many individual sins, but condemns all immoral acts in principle. The Word of God does not say that smoking cocaine is sin, but would any sane person conclude that it is not sin? The Bible is a book of principles. Is my brother true on this workout question?
My brother said that if you have been weight lifting for like a couple of months without stopping and follow your workout plan consisitenly then once in a while you need to take one whole week off without weight lifting then by next week if you go back in the gym you'll feel stronger and better than before, is this true because i have been weight lifting for like months of consistency and haven't had a long break (one week) and I have been on the same weight for quite some time and today i couldn't lift my normal weights cause i just feel weak. should i take one week off or no and is my brother true about his story? thxIs my brother true on this workout question?
Your brother is right that you do need to give your self a break but moreso, you need to change your routine in order to brerak thru your plateaus. Your body will adapt to what you give it - the same workout schedule every week - and therefore you will not experience the gains you expect. Change you exercises and/ or the order of the exercises about every three weeks and you will see very little plateau effect. Give your body a one week rest about once every 3 months at least for a full recovery. You will notice the difference.
Some of your description above tends to lean toward looking for the following also:
-- overtraining
-- not allowing enough recovery time before working a muscle group again

However, a workout routine should be between 8-12 weeks of intense training, followed by a week of rest (moderate cardio 2-3 times that week). This helps to give your muscles a bit of a break before you start the process again and tear them down to build them up.
When you lift weights your muscle pulls apart slightly and then when it repairs itself it doesn't fully close which is how muscles become larger. In order for the muscle to repair itself you need to let them rest. According to the website below you should only lift three days a week, but i think if you can handle it you could get away with lifting four or five days a week.

Well... when those teams had their initial success the only fans they had were there hometown fans and then when they became successful people jumped on the bandwagon and started bringing up their kids as that teams fan which created a great fanbase. That's what's happening in New England... they are still building a fanbase outside their hardcore fans that have been there since the beginning. About 20-30 years down the line... there are gonna be so many people that were brought up Patriots fans because of this dynasty it's gonna blow any other fanbase out of the water especially considering how many states New England respresents. You have a very valid point. However, as I have been a Patriots fan for quite a while(since 1996), you can really tell who is a true Patriots fan, and who is just a bandwagoner just waiting to jump on the next one.

When will band like Iron Maiden or Metallica (The best metal band there ever was). Metal today sucks...... It gets weirder and weirder, I have heard metal genres like, emo and screemo(wtf). as a metal head from way back in the early 80s to now I have seen so many styles of metal, some good, some crap. I dont like bands that dress in their leather metro sexual skirt looking things...that not metal. Death metal is good, no its great, but you got to find the right bands and there are many.
There will never be another band like Iron Maiden, they are one of a kind. if you want to hear a band like that sounds like old school metallica try out the new Trivium album 'The Crusade', songs like 'Anthem (We Are the Fire)' 'Ignition' and 'Entrance of the Conflagration'.

I have tried the newer stuff but it never holds my attentiion for long and I';m back to the older metal music for some real metal music when metal music was metal music, not some generic version of today trying to come off as metal music...
I agree that there will never be another band as good as metallica or maiden.metal has changed very much since their days but it has been for the worse.Today's metal bands are nowhere near in talent compared to metallica r maiden.Think of it,Lead guitaring is dead,guitar riffs are hopeless,clean vocalists are gradually being replaced by growling SoB's and song composition is just not as good as it used to be.I am sorry but it is better to live in the past than to come out and be greeted by the **** ppl call ';metal'; these days.And I dont see the situation getting any better for a long,long time.New bands will come,but I don't think they will ever displace Metallica or Iron Maiden from their throne.
PS:Dream Theater is not new! The band is 21 yrs old and have been around for a longer time than you think.I also agree that they are the only ones worth listening to today.

Try a comparison of their old music to the new.

I feel SO blessed after achieving this on he first attempt. After all the research I had done on the *chances* of conceiving, I am just still in shock. That morning I told God, I am putting this in His hands now and I will accept his choice. I wish I could give each of you a piece of my Joy to share and a baby of your own! Best of wishes to you all!

Christians - when you read the Gospels, do you question if the Bible is true?
What I mean is, look at the names of the people who wrote the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke %26amp; John.
Those don't sound like 2000-year old hebrew names to me. Those are more modern English names.
Now I can understand that they could have changed the names to make the Bible seem more relevant to the masses.
But if they've changed that, then what else could they have changed to get their interpretation of their message across? I think you do have a valid point. I am a Christian, but I too wondered that same thing. Especially when the whole Da Vinci code theory came out a couple of years ago. And also the main thing I thought of is there are quite a few 'versions' of the Bible where ,the wording has been changed to fit today's current speech patterns. ( King James, New International, etc.) But I believe that because God 'coded' the Bible , He would also make sure that it was never totally changed to ensure the salvation of people that were looking for it. Yes that is their English names but back then, they went by their Greek names. The translation is for our benefit.
The names have most likely been anglesized over time. They aren't modern names, they're timeless. People have been christened with Bibilical names for hundreds of years.

I'm getting a new computer a desk top due to my old computer malfunctioning.
I have an image copy of my messed up old hard drive on an external hard drive.
I don't want to transfer everything to my new computer as I'm afraid that it'll transfer whatever was wrong with it.
Question is, how do I selectively transfer some of the data, like Robo-Form pass words, my favorites and stuff like that?
I like to keep my new computer clean as possible and don't want it ';contaminated'; by my old computers backup.
Other stuff, like my important files and images, I plan to transfer to an external hard drive hooked to my other old computer which is working OK.Data transfer question with Acronis True image?

Have you been on the Vortex Roller Coaster at Paramounts Great America, Santa Clara, California?
I am wondering if you felt any lower or upper body reactions while on the inversions.
When you were on a loop or corkscrew on the vortex coaster (standing up) did you feel any pressure on your upper back or head. Did you feel like the bones in your legs were colliding into your pelvis or feet.
Imagine someone crushing you and you couldn't bend your knees. and the bones went straight to your feet. does it feel like that on the loop on Vortex?

When reading this you will notice that in verse 18 it says If you are led by the Spirit then you are not under the Law(commandments are the law). As a christian they are our guide but we also have forgiveness .This would mean that you live in the Spirit and you are judged in the Spirit. The sins you are reading are the sins of the unsaved and it is a continual life style. Now as christians we ask for continual and daily forgiveness. We mean it too. The unsaved live in these sinful conditions without regret and confession. All sin is sin, but God does look harder on the ';fleshly'; sins. Which are what is listed here. The reason God judges FLESH sins more is because as christian we have the Holy Spirit living in us and these sins are also againt the Spirit in us. You can write to me if you dont know what I mean. What will keep souls out of heaven is not accepting Jesus as their Savior. When a person is really saved the desire to sin is not there. I have no desire to sin and if I do anything that is not pleasing to God, I feel immediate conviction from the Holy Spirit and repent.
Sins of the Bible are detailed through out the entire Bible and that is why is must be studied and not just read over.
All sin no matter what it is ,separates us from God and the full magnitude of His call on our lives.
Sin regardless is going to bring forth death
James 1:15

I think your focus is in the wrong place.
The works of the flesh are symptomatic of a life lived in the flesh.
The fruit of the spirit is symptomatic of a life surrendered to the spirit.
22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!
No one is perfect so no one will perfectly exhibit the fruit of the spirit. everyone has a weakness.
So if the Holy Spirit is involved you your life The sins should be falling away because you are changing. but not by your own efforts but Gods.
It's your heart and your relationship with Jesus that will ultimately get you to where ever you go. Read the whole Bible and pray.

Jesus is the pitcher of lemonade and you are a glass. Fill yourself with him and you have nothing to worry about.
Galatians 5 19-21 is just a short list of the symptoms of someone who is a sinner. God knows that those who would commit those other sins you listed would also commit those sins that are listed in Galatians 5 19-21. People who are sinners are controlled by the flesh, just as Paul wrote when he said ';Now the works of the flesh are evident';, so he's saying that this is how we can know that someone is not saved, if they practice all these sexual sins etc. that he listed. The other sins are also manifestations of the flesh. If you live by the Spirit, you will not be controlled by the flesh. So if you are not doing the things in Galatians 5:9 etc. then you are led by the Spirit, and living in Faith.
So you will do the rest of the things mentioned also, but we all do all of those things from time to time when we lack faith, and we need to repent of those things, and rely on God to deliver us from those sins and tempations.
Just sinning one time is not going to send you to hell. It's when you live by the flesh is how you die. And Paul was explaining what he meant by this.
So many are confused by this, so they resort to erroneous theology such as ';once saved always saved no matter what';, then don't live in the spirit, and wonder if they are saved anyway. I know from my own experience.
