True or False? Correlation Coefficient Question Please Help!?

I really need help with this Thank You!

I think it's false but I'm not sure. When you tell me if it's true or false can you tell me why it is true or false so I can understand the question properly. Thank You!

True or False? When doing linear regression, if the correlation coefficient is negative, the slope of the line is positiveTrue or False? Correlation Coefficient Question Please Help!?
False.

If the correlation coefficient is negative the slope of the line would also be negative.

A negative correlation coefficient means that increase in one variable would lead to decrease in the other and vice versa.

The slope of a line is defined by m = (y1-y2)/(x1-x2)

Now, if y2 happens to be greater than y1, it means that variable y has increased, the negative correlation means that x2 has to be necessarily less than x1. Thus m will be negative, so also is the case if y2 is less than y1.

So, a negative correlation translates into a negative slope of the plotted line.True or False? Correlation Coefficient Question Please Help!?
It is false... the slope would be negative because thr correlation coefficient is neagtive... I dunno how it could be broken down more then that.
