i have installed acronis true image and have created a ';secure zone'; to use in case of a system crash ect
when i activated it the proces was done in 10 seconds, now when i boot i get the option to use the secure zone in the event of a system crash
my question is ,how does it recover my operating system when there was hardly anyhting backed up
how does this work, and have i done the correct method by activating the start up recovery manager
cheersAcronis true image';secure zone'; question?
I've been using Acronis TrueImage for years now and have never used the ';Secure Zone'; feature...But I do know one thing positively for sure...You have to make a Complete image backup of the partition that the Windows operating system is on to be able to restore your computer back to the way it was before whatever went wrong happens...whether you store the image in the secure zone, or on a separate partition from the operating system...either way will work. Basically the Secure Zone is an empty protected partition that Acronis makes...There is Nothing in it until you put the image backup you create in it!!! OK
Take time to read the instructions for more info...Yea it's a pain but will pay off in the long run...
Make sure that you create a bootable Media Rescue disk in case Windows becomes unbootable...this will be the only way you will be able to restore the backup image and be able to run Acronis in this case!!!
